On April 5, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team at OMC Group joined thousands of people around the world to celebrate Good Deeds Day 2025, a global initiative that promotes solidarity, volunteerism, and positive community impact.
Our activity took place at Fundación Nueva Generación, located in El Chorrillo, where more than 30 volunteers from OMC Group came together with energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to renovate the common areas used by the children and adolescents who benefit from this center. Alongside Interamerican University and other collaborators, we formed a team of approximately 60 people who took part in this transformation.
Under the slogan “Transforming Spaces in Nueva Generación,” our goal was to clean, paint, and refurbish the areas used daily by over 600 children who receive educational, recreational, and values-based support from the foundation. Every brushstroke, every helping hand, and every moment shared was a step toward building a more dignified, welcoming, and hopeful environment for those who need it most.
“We want the beneficiaries to feel this place is theirs, a space that welcomes them with the best conditions possible,” said Kaira, spokesperson for OMC Group’s CSR team, during the event.
Mrs. Julia, the head of the center, expressed with emotion: “Thank you so much for joining this Good Deeds Day initiative. With your support, we are benefiting more than 600 children and adolescents who receive education, technology, recreation, and values-based training. Thank you so much for all your support and for this volunteer effort that has broken records.”
Darlene Atín, Project Coordinator for CSR at OMC Group, also shared an inspiring message: “I want to invite all employees to participate in these kinds of activities that bring us closer to the community, help us see what’s beyond our usual surroundings, and show us how we can help those around us.”
Fundación Nueva Generación shared that the organization has been working for 25 years on violence prevention and comprehensive care for children and adolescents from communities such as Santa Ana, Curundú, Barraza, and El Chorrillo. They offer educational, recreational, and sports programs, as well as training in the STEAM methodology, starting from early childhood through adolescence. “Having the support of companies like OMC for infrastructure improvements is a great relief for our budget, as most of it is dedicated to running these programs. Thanks to this kind of support, we can manage our resources more effectively and achieve better outcomes,” they shared.
These kinds of activities not only strengthen our commitment to the community but also allow us to live out our institutional values of integrity, efficiency, reliability, and loyalty, applied to the power of human relationships.
At OMC Group, we firmly believe that good deeds inspire, unite, and transform. We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers, partners, and collaborators who made this day possible. We continue to build relationships with purpose, and this was yet another example that together we can create meaningful change.
